A common reason for a wiring fault
We visited an old client yesterday who had developed a lighting circuit fault, after a great deal of time had been spent investigating the reason became apparent. They had hung a new picture on a wall but had hammer the nail through the cables in the wall. The result was every time the lights were switched on they would go bang !! Please be aware that although a wall is blank behind there could be cables and pipes, check the area if there is a switch or socket near by there may be a cable too.
